Breathtaking Ibiza… Part 1 BahramGour, 2016-09-302016-10-03 I am very fortunate that my business travels take me to various locations in the world. But I am very blessed that I get to witness truly sublime views and scenery, all while pursuing my work and passion. This is the best summary I can give of my business trip to Ibiza last week. This first picture below, is the view from my bedroom as I arrived and was unpacking my bags. Ibiza is world famous for its roaring nightclubs, crazy parties that keep going once the sun is out, beaches, and yes bikinis. But during this trip, I saw a completely different side to Ibiza that I had never seen before and want to share it with all of you. This trip, my business meetings and property scouting took me all the way to the south of Ibiza, to the southwestern tip to be exact, where I was viewing properties and conducting meetings. A short 20 minute drive by car from Ibiza city and this is what I saw when I stepped out of the car. True Spanish style architecture and decor, palm trees, and of course the most important part- the views. People come to this part of the island, for the private beaches and because it is directly across the magical rocky island of Es Vedra (which will be the subjects of my next post so stay tuned)! In between my meetings, I was able to snap some photos of the calming scenery. I was admiring the palms trees and beautiful bougainvillea flowers (known as buganvilla in Spain) all day as I walked around. Every direction you turned and faced was a photo frame waiting to be captured. Aren’t the views just lovely? Would you like breakfast with a view, lay out by the pool with a view, wake up and go to sleep with a view, no problem. All of that is possible here in this part of the island where the scenery is beautiful and the surroundings were peaceful, with only the birds singing and the Spanish wind blowing. And then of course, it was time to check out the pool deck and cabana area. Look at the reflection of the palm trees in the water below. The best thing is while you are laying out, you can see the sea in the background. In fact, from almost every point on the property, you have a direct view of the sea, it really is a unique experience. Then it was off to upstairs to view the sea and the islands from the distance and try to catch some nice sunset shots. After the sunset, we changed and got ready for dinner, taking a stroll to admire the the pool views and property at night on our way there. The contrast of the blue sky behind the white buildings was just gorgeous. Ibiza is much more than the clubs, DJ’s and nightlife everyone knows it to be. It is a gateway to natural beauty and wonder. You would do yourself a serious injustice if you did not take the time to visit the this part of the Island and see what these secret spots have to offer. Stay tuned for my second half of this post, Breaking Ibiza… Part 2 to learn more about the island. Travel
